Dulles International Airport
The design of a new people mover station presented a unique opportunity to develop a new sign system for Dulles International Airport. Working with SOM, Ten8 Group developed a modular system of signs that use design elements originally outlined by Saarinen as well as architectural details and finishes used by SOM in the design of the new structure.
Millipore Sigma/MERCK
The new viewpoint of attracting the best minds in life sciences, and repositioning a 350 year old company meant an overhaul of the signs and street furnishings. Sign designs are based brand standards, which included a specially created font, unique color matrix/pallete, including Rich, Vibrant, and Sensitive colors, Organic, Plastic, and Synthetic cell patterns, and developing a navigation strategy and creating designs for campuses around the world. Sites worldwide included the new Millipore Sigma headquarters in Burlington, MA. Nomenclature included bilingual translation in Hebrew, French, and German.

CWE - Parking & Taylor Park
For Bi-State Development MetroLink (light rail) and MetroBus system, Ten8 Group was called upon to reconsider signage system-wide to accommodate future growth and make the system more rider-friendly. Updated sign designs provide greater consistency, while a thorough standards manual explains implementation strategies for several possible expansion scenarios.
SLU ISE Building
Saint Louis University's Interdisciplinary Science and Engineering (ISE) building features scale-up classrooms, and flexible lab spaces. Opened in summer 2020, the 90,000-square-foot, building is a place where students and faculty learn, collaborate and experiment. A 3-story atrium experience in the main lobby combines moiré STEM@SLU letters measuring 3´-2´ x 21´ and a large content changing screen and 10 smaller screens. Other wall graphics juxtapose reflective, matte, metallic, and translucent finishes reflecting the rhythm and pattern of life, and science of human interactions. The materials and surfaces demonstrate the illusion of depth: shiny versus matte, glowing and iridescent—all properties which speak to science, technology and innovation. The moniker STEM@SLU brings attention to the interdisciplinary way of teaching and learning.

Bluegreen Vacations
Each resort has unique wayfinding and identity needs. Guests need to be easily able to locate the amenities, food venues, and activities. The signs need to have a resort specific look under the Bluegreen brand. Multiple user types including rv campers, golfers, skiers, vacation club members, and size of the resort in WI led us to stake and GPS locate all primary identity, and directional signs. Typically the signage packages include evacuation routes, innkeeper rules, and fire safety signs, and in some cases the nomenclature needs to be bilingual. Weather and extreme conditions influence material choices for fabrication.
