Dulles International Airport

At Ten8 Group, we saw the design of the new people mover station at Dulles International Airport as an opportunity to create a signage system that seamlessly integrates with the airport’s architectural legacy. Collaborating with SOM, we developed a modular sign system that honors the original design principles set by Eero Saarinen while incorporating contemporary architectural details and finishes used in the new structure. Our approach focused on clarity, wayfinding efficiency, and a timeless aesthetic that aligns with Dulles’ iconic design language. The result is a cohesive system that enhances passenger navigation while maintaining the visual integrity of one of the world’s most recognizable airports.
